Canada’s Best High School Player Commits to the Kentucky Wildcats

Canada’s top high school basketball player (Orangeville Prep), Jamal Murray, who recently reclassified to the 2015 class, announced his decision to commit to the University of Kentucky in a live broadcast on TSN across Canada on Wednesday June 24th, 2015.
The 6’5″ point guard out of Kitchener, Ontario Canada was accompanied by friends and family, including father Roger, mother Sylvia and younger brother Lamar who were there to share in the moment as the broadcast was being sent out to thousands across the nation.
The internet was abuzz as Murray removed his Canadian flag cape and jacket to reveal a sparkling blue tie and button down along with a white Kentucky baseball cap with blue logo to tell the world he was going to attend the school in Lexington in the fall.
Jamal talked about his decision and his father Roger and Canada Basketball’s Rowan Barrett also talked about Jamal’s special day and the special day for Canadian basketball.
