CANADA BASKETBALL’S CADET MEN’S NATIONAL TEAM U17 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ROSTER ANNOUNCED

Canada will compete in the U17 FIBA World Championship in Dubai

(Toronto, Ont.) – Cadet Men’s National Team (CMNT) announces final roster for the 2014 U17 FIBA World Championships, taking place in Dubai from August 8 – 16.

“We’ve had a successful training camp and have begun to come together as a team,” said Coach David DeAveiro. “We’re looking forward to our final stage of preparation in France and competing in the world championships.”

The team will depart Monday, July 28th to compete in a 4-game exhibition tournament in France. The team will then travel to Dubai for the U17 FIBA Championships where they will take on France, Japan and Australia in the preliminary round.

“This will be a tremendous opportunity for these young athletes to continue their development while representing Canada against the world’s best,” said Rowan Barrett, Executive Vice President/Assistant General Manager, Men’s High Performance.
